Comparing is always free for you
You will never pay ShowMyRates anything. Reading our guides, browsing rate information, and requesting quotes are all free, with no account required.
We're paid by insurance partners
We earn compensation from the insurance partners we work with — insurance companies, licensed agencies, and insurance marketplaces. They pay us when you:
- click through to a partner's offer or website,
- request quotes through one of our forms, or
- call a partner phone number listed on this site.
That compensation is what keeps the service free and the site running.

ShowMyRates is a free comparison and marketing service. We are not an insurance company, agency, lender, or advisor. We may receive compensation from partners featured on this site, and compensation may impact where and how partners appear. We do not include every available provider or offer.
What compensation does — and doesn't — affect
Compensation may influence where and how partners appear on this site: their position in comparison tables, whether they're featured, and which partners you're matched with. We also don't include every insurance company or every offer available in your area — if a company isn't a partner, it generally won't appear in our match results.
What compensation never changes: our editorial content and our rate data. The statistics and average premiums we publish come from state regulators and named public datasets, and we cite them on the page. No partner can pay to alter a number, a data-based comparison, or a word of our guides. See our Editorial Policy for how we source and check our content.
What happens when you request quotes
When you submit a quote request, we share the information you provided with the specific partners matched to your request — and only those partners. Matched partners may then contact you by phone, email, or text to deliver your quotes; that's the point of the request, and you give that consent at the moment you submit the form.
