Put the policy details before the price

Copy the values from each written proposal. The worksheet flags missing fields and coverage differences before it identifies the lowest entered policy-term cost.

Private by design: this worksheet has no submit or save action. Values remain in this page state and reset when the page is refreshed.

Use the written proposals

Three steps to a cleaner comparison

  1. 01

    Copy, do not estimate

Use each proposal's policy term, premium, limits, deductibles and included coverages.

  2. 02

    Resolve every mismatch

Ask for revised proposals when a limit, deductible, term or discount condition differs.

  3. 03

    Read the final documents

Verify the application, payment schedule and issued policy before paying or replacing coverage.

What the worksheet checks

A price comparison needs the same policy design

The tool compares only the fields you enter: term length, term premium, known extra fees, three liability limits, UM/UIM, first-party injury benefits, collision and comprehensive selections, rental reimbursement and common pricing conditions. It will not label a quote as the lowest entered cost until those core entries match.

It cannot determine whether a limit fits your finances, whether an insurer will issue the policy or how a future claim will be handled. Use the result to prepare questions for a licensed insurance professional, not as a personalized recommendation.

Research each decision before you compare

Quote comparison worksheet FAQs

Does this worksheet choose the best insurance company?+

No. It checks whether the values you enter are complete and comparable, then shows the policy-term cost you entered. It does not evaluate every contract term, claim experience, financial strength, eligibility rule or company available to you.

Is the monthly equivalent my actual monthly payment?+

No. The worksheet divides the entered policy-term premium and known extra fees by the number of months. An actual installment plan can use a different first payment, later payments and installment fees.

Does ShowMyRates save the quote information I enter here?+

This worksheet has no submit or save action. Its values remain in the current page state and reset when the page is refreshed. Do not enter Social Security numbers, driver-license numbers or payment information.

What should I do when the coverage limits do not match?+

Ask each insurer or licensed agent to reprice the proposal using the same drivers, vehicles, liability limits, coverage selections, deductibles, policy term and effective date. Then enter the revised values before comparing price.
